SheSay Author Terms of Service
Effective Date: September 17, 2026
These Author Terms of Service ("Author Terms") apply to authors who publish novels, comics, reports, galleries and other content in SheSay (the "App", "we", "our"). By applying to become an author, or by publishing content as an author, you agree to these Author Terms. These Author Terms are a separate document from our Terms of Service; for matters concerning content published by authors, these Author Terms prevail if they conflict with the Terms of Service.
1. Authors' Warranties
By publishing content as an author, you represent and warrant that:
- You own the complete and lawful intellectual property rights in the content you publish, or you have obtained sufficient authorization from the rights holder;
- Your content is original or properly authorized, and is not translated or reposted without permission, pirated imitation, or plagiarized material;
- Your content does not infringe any third party's copyright, trademark, patent, reputation, privacy or other lawful rights;
- You keep proof of ownership and authorization available and provide it to us promptly on request.
2. Liability
- If content you publish leads to copyright complaints, litigation, administrative action or any other dispute, you bear all legal and compensation liability independently;
- All resulting damages, settlements, fines, attorneys' fees, notarization fees, appraisal fees and other reasonable costs are borne by you;
- We may take the content offline while a dispute is being resolved, and you agree to cooperate by providing explanations and evidence.
3. Our Right of Recourse
If we pay compensation or incur costs because of content you published — including payments made in advance to prevent further loss — we are entitled to full recourse against you, and you must pay within 15 days of our written notice. We may also deduct the amount directly from your earnings and royalties, and continue to recover any shortfall by other lawful means.
4. Enforcement
- When we receive a copyright takedown notice that meets the statutory requirements, we follow the "remove first, verify afterwards" process described in our DMCA Notice and notify the author;
- Depending on the circumstances, we may require rectification, restrict publishing, delete content, freeze earnings, suspend settlement, restrict features, or permanently terminate the account;
- Earnings generated by infringing content may be withheld, and related subscription or purchase payments refunded.
5. Earnings and Settlement
Author earnings depend on the continued lawful availability of the published content. If content is removed because it infringes another party's rights, the related earnings may be adjusted or withheld, and settlement may be paused while the matter is being resolved.
6. Changes to These Author Terms
We may update these Author Terms in line with applicable law and our platform rules. Updated versions are published in the App and on this website, and an author who continues to publish content after an update is deemed to accept the revised terms.
